Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about using CSV Tools Pro.

    Getting Started

Upload your CSV file using the drag-and-drop area or file browser on the CSV Splitter page. Choose how you want to split it: by number of rows per file, by total number of output files, or by maximum file size. Toggle "Preserve header row" if you want each output file to include the original column headers, then click "Split File" and download your results individually or as a ZIP archive.

Go to the CSV Merger page and upload two or more CSV files. The tool stacks them vertically, aligning columns by name. If your files have different columns, the merged output will contain all unique columns — rows missing a column will have an empty value for that field. Download the result as a single merged CSV.

Open the CSV Viewer page and upload any CSV file. Your data will appear instantly in a clean, paginated table. You can search across all fields, click any column header to sort, and download a filtered version of your data if you've applied a search.

    Privacy & Security

Absolutely. Every tool on CSV Tools Pro processes files entirely in your web browser using JavaScript. Files never leave your device and are never uploaded to our servers. We have no ability to see, store, or access your data. Once you close the browser tab, all data is gone.

No account is required. All tools are free to use without signing up, and because your files never leave your browser, there is nothing for us to store on your behalf.

    File Support

The tools read standard CSV text and handle quoted fields. Most tools treat the first row as headers; the splitter lets you choose whether to repeat that row in each output. Files are read as browser text, so UTF-8 is the safest encoding. Use the delimiter changer for comma, semicolon, tab or pipe-separated input.

Tools using the main CSV uploader accept files up to 500 MB. This is a maximum input size, not a guarantee that every device can process a file that large. Browser memory, row width and the amount of output data can make the practical limit lower.

Yes, all tools work on mobile browsers. For the best experience and to handle larger files, a desktop browser is recommended. Mobile devices may have memory limitations with very large files.
